The Museum of Beauty

Blueprint for a Museum
[Design By: KPA]

Contemporary Western museums are no longer dedicating their collections to Western works. And they are carefully and determinedly placing dark curtains over the rich and long legacy that they have inherited. All that is left is for them to throw away these collections. But thank goodness for their weakness (or heresy) of being image idolaters. They would NEVER throw away these works.

Therefore it is up to us to pick up these pieces one by one.

Reclaiming Beauty has been doing that for about five years. Now, a new project is being initiated, although the idea has been developing for a couple of years.

The Reclaiming Beauty Museum, or simply titled The Museum of Beauty, will be the first online museum dedicated to beauty. Following the website Reclaiming Beauty's direction, this online project will not only be a depository (and re-depository) of works but also an education and information center, and a place to develop liaisons, links, and eventually a place to start and maintain a movement.

All of these ideas have their basic structures already in place. It is only a matter of filling them in, a challenging task but with great rewards.

Welcome to The Museum of Beauty!

The Power of Beauty Conference: Reclaiming Beauty (Update)

An adviser said it wasn't a good idea to post the progress of my speech's development for The Power of Beauty conference in the Franciscan University of Steubenville. He said it would take away the element of surprise.

I agree!

I've removed the "transcript" and will post the conference proceedings, or any video that might be available, after the conference.

Here is the conference program.

I am presenting on Saturday, October 25, at 10:40 am, Session A. I have been asked to prepare a 25 minute talk, and will have about 15 minutes for questions. I present with Dr. Linus Meldrum who is assistant professor of Fine Arts at the university.
