A God-Given Earth

I recently posted on VDare's (via Steve Sailer) cut-and-paste post on the rebel protests in Ethiopia.

There is something ugly about race-antagonism, even when it comes from the "victims," which is how Americans see themselves in this world of spiraling protests.

Of course, I don't think Americans, and American whites, are necessarily victims, rather victims of their own doing. They are (partially) to blame.

Regardless of politics, Americans allowed entry into their country people from distant shores and continents, for many decades now.

The question is why.

I believe this is a question best answered with a religious lens.

Americans, and especially American leaders, abandoned their faith in God, their commitment to God's words, and decided that they can make a land of their own making, imagination, and desires.

Since the biggest crime for American thought is "racism," they couldn't use the logical and true argument of race to close off their borders to all these aliens.

Why not (to continue with the "why" question)?

To become a racist is to be evil, to deny the humanity of another human being. So believe contemporary Americans, of all faith, political, social and cultural nuances.

But, God's Bible is replete with stories of race, of families of races, the most important and significant being the Jewish race of the Old Testament, those chosen people.

Through these Jewish ancestors, came Jesus Christ, a Jew himself, who opened up the Bible, and the people of the world, to be equally deserving of the Grace of God, through their acceptance of the Grace of God.

But nations were never annihilated. Families were never cast aside.

We learn our lessons through both the Old and the New.

If Jews, as generations of families, lived such a long and God-blessed existence, then so can we, with our own families, in our own corners of the world.

If America's leaders cannot openly and proudly submit to bowing their heads to the grace and power of God, then they are hurtling their country, and their people, to doom.

I believe this is where VDare, with its erudite, intelligent and clever leaders, have failed. They have decided to make America, perhaps some without realizing so, "a land of their own making, imagination, and desires."

That is why their immigrant stories resonate as horror stories. Ugly and fighting words, without the Grace of God, the humility before God, simply become horror stories.

Those immigrant rabble-rouser leaders will hook on to these words, and convince their communities that American whites are racist and evil. And so continue the headlines with news of bombs of words and steel, with no end in sight.

But through humility and grace, America's leaders, by leaning on the word of God, could convince that Mexican family (with its ostracized bomb-throwing unemployed son), which is making as honest a living as possible with a paycheck that barely covers rent and food, that its members (including those born "American," and that son) have another place, a God-given place, created by their own ancestors. And that they are better off there, even as their lives might change dramatically at first. That they can start to plan for generations into the future, rather than for the end of the month, each month.

How enlightened they could be. And how thankful they would be to realize their Catholic God has forgiven them, with their trail, and trial, of an infinity of burnt candles.

Mexicans, especially those in the rural areas, and more the seniors than the youth, have a beautiful way of describing their place. "Mi tierra" they would tell me: "My land, my earth." This visceral expression is more real and more tangible than "my country," "mi pais."

VDare's sin came in increments. Their immigration influencing capabilities are now basically nil. No-one listens to them. Even President Trump has put on hold his "close the borders" mantra on which he got elected.

As I explain in this post discussing a recent VDare article Is It Time For Americans To Start Talking About The Devil?, the Devil lurks around finding devious, clever ways to derail good works.
...there is no article [on VDare] that is exclusive to the praises of God's excellent hand in this American Nation.

Rather, we now have a full expose on the Devil himself.
And those who refuse and abandon the protection and wisdom of God are easy prey. And their missions will never be accomplished.

Michelle Malkin Presidential Campaign on Social Distancing
(Not a Brimelow Joke)

Malkin as the Socially Distant President
Video here

The screen shot above is from the video conversation between Michelle Malkin and Peter Brimelow, who is doing a series of these live streams. I commented on one between Brimelow and Derbyshire, where Brimelow made a joke (flat and inconsequential) on "social distancing."

The title to the image comes from Brimelow's suggestion to Malkin (around the 50 second mark):
Brimelow: ...my definition of a Civic Nationalist: Someone who's willing to vote for Michelle Malkin for President when she runs on a platform of immigration moratorium...So, tell us, when are you going to declare, Michelle?
Malkin: The prospect of me going back to Washingtonian in any form is really not attractive to me at all...
Brimelow: Social Distancing. It can be a socially distant president..."
The generally abrasive, and constantly angry, Michelle Malkin, about whom I wrote on May 15 on her reaction to the COVID-SCAM, has done her one-on-one with VDare's Peter Brimelow.

In my May 15 article on Malkin, I was trying to figure out her definitive position on the COVID-SCAM. I concluded that her commentary was inconclusive:
In any case, as usual with our off-Main-Stream-Media, they cannot make up their minds, or more precisely, cannot come up with their own data analyses and conclusions that COVID is not much to write about other than to compare it with other phenomena, such as immigration.
Earlier on, in my commentary on the Brimelow-Derbyshire video conversation, I speculate if VDare and their followers actually want the social, financial, and cultural ruin of our West, and the world over, really, a "global Gotterdammerung, to start their America on a clean, white slate.":
The discussion between Derbyshire and Brimelow centered around black crimes on whites, which is the repetitive, mantra-like, redundant postings through which VDare has made its trademark, over the couple of decades it has existed.

I have to speculate whether it is something that they wish for, some kind of racial war, to start the machinations of a global Gotterdammerung, to start their America on a clean, white slate.

The populations that are suffering due to this "pandemic" at much higher levels are the poor, mostly black and other "people of color," although not due to illness or death, but through financial loss of jobs and savings.
Near the end of the interview, the Brimelow-Malkin discussion does touch upon the COVID-SCAM social, cultural, and financial upheaval, but wraps it around immigration control, the scamdemic being a useful tool to start closing off and monitoring that porous border.
Brimelow: I really think that's what's happening with social distancing now. We're going to have to get used to all these epidemic diseases coming in because apparently it won't stop immigration from the Third World.

When I wrote Alien Nation I said I thought immigration was the wild card that would get immigration to public debate. But in fact, it turned out to be terrorism and they had to tell a lot of lies to suppress that problem. Now they're going to tell a lot of lies about a disease. But this is like at least the third wave of diseases that have come in since Alien Nation (Brimelow's 19... book) was written..

[...]

But the thing is social distancing...i like price and wage control. Massive overkill to what's going on...I think. Does that make sense to you?

Malkin: Yeah, absolutely, and I alluded to this in my column today at VDare [KPA:...I posted on it here] and this paradox of the government both overreacting and under-reacting.

Brimelow. Part of the problem is that they just won't be frank about it. For two months, three months, we've been writing about the disease, the racial issue...the racial differences in susceptibility.

[...]

And then quite suddenly in the past week, it has been politically correct to write about it, because it turns out that American blacks were unusually susceptible. And therefore it is useful to for basically guilting out the whites again.

And near the very end, the "Pandemic" gets a fleeting mention by Malkin, in relation of course to immigration ....

Malkin
: But when the pandemic dies down, (if it dies down), that he's [Trump's] intent on pushing congress to pass the DACA deal after the Supreme Court.
So what if a disproportionate number of American citizens who are black (and brown - how about that, Michelle M., but what does she have to worry, with her Jewish/"white" husband) are in danger of the social and financial consequences of this disease. Our whole purpose is to support and represent the white race.

In fact, so what if a substantial number of poor whites are also affected by this scamdemic. Our purpose is "America First!"

When principle becomes subordinate to purpose, then anything goes.

Once again, the discussion between Brimelow and Malkin hardly touches the COVID-SCAM, and the effusive Malkin, bestowed with Brimelow's praise, and encouragement, on her battle for America, seems to be on the road to the Presidency, or at least start off with a Mayorship for Colorado Springs, CO, as she coyly defers from discussing with her protege Brimelow.

I have to add, the "conservative" Malkin, who dresses anything but conservatively, presents herself thus at a recent presentation in 2019 at the annual Western Conservative Summit, in 2019.

By the way, it was really difficult to find out the topic of Malkin's presentation, let alone the title. It is as though we should blindly accept that whatever these "immigration" critics say or write about is sacrosanct, and needs no more than their names. I believe Malkin was simply a "guest speaker" during a luncheon session, according to this schedule.

And Malkin, whose husband is Jewish, and who is purportedly Filipino Catholic, has two children, whom she raises as... what?

It is the usual story of contemporary conservatives, usually in some grip with Jewish influence, without a Christian spiritual principle to guide their ways, as I wrote here, here, and here, amongst many other posts, who use their pent up energy to deflect the issues towards other "pressing" items, like black crime, and of course, immigration, as America, Canada, and the West are being destroyed by a fake disease, which NONE of them have brought up in their copious interviews and discussions.

So, it bears repeating, as I have done in several of my recent blogs, on this absence of intelligent commentary on the scamdemic:
I have to speculate whether it is something that they wish for, some kind of racial war, to start the machinations of a global Gotterdammerung, to start their America on a clean, white slate.
Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

The Iniquities of Immigration

Below is my post from July 4, 2018: The Iniquities of Immigration
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Immigration is the contemporary world's greatest iniquity. From there arises all the adjoining iniquities, the biggest being multiculturalism. The sin of immigration is as much the immigrants' as it is those accepting the immigrants.

In God's design of our world, there is no immigration, as we understand it in our contemporary world: the mass movements of peoples from one region of the world to another, and more specifically from the southern/eastern regions to the western.

Each people has its own country, its own region, its own place, its own home, built and nourished and sustained by its own people, ancestors and those still living. Each people knows how to maneuver and live with the deficiencies of its particular country, and often loves it more because of these struggles and, many times, the victories, small or large.

By immigrating, contemporary people cut off these ties, sever them and often irreparably. They remain in limbo with memories fading further into the recesses of their minds of that beautiful country which gave birth to them and which they so readily abandoned for a few material comforts. This trauma lives on in their children and their grandchildren.

I make a bold suggestion. Let's follow Moses' example. Let us make an Exodus away from the false promise and to the real promise. Our real promised lands.

"I don’t mind these people, or dislike them. I certainly don’t hate them..."

John Derbyshire, writer at VDare, is using the old and tired language of "I am not a racist...but" argument to defend hs "anti-immigration" stance.

He writes in a confused conundrum of superficial compassion and declared hard line.

In his recent post on the "caravan" that is approaching the southern American border, he writes:
...it’s plain that the biggest cohort of caravanners are unattached young men, a lot of them sporting tattoos.

I have nothing against young men, and not very much against tattoos. Looking at these faces and bodies, though, I do seriously doubt that any of this cohort, if permitted to settle among us, will take up brain surgery, theoretical physics, or the composing of symphonies.
Then later on in the article, he waves his white flag of "I'm not a racist":
I don’t mind these people, or dislike them. I certainly don’t hate them, as the infantile language of the Cultural Marxists would say. Some of them look like nice ordinary people. Check out, for example, William Castillo and his family from El Salvador in the Daily Mail montage. I’d guess Mr. Castillo is a hardworking guy who wants his best for the little boy. Heck, if I were an ordinary working Joe in El Salvador, I’d want to get out of there, too.
He has links to photos of nice family units, who do not very nice things like break sovereign laws and enter a foreign territory illegally. These nice people are criminals.

Of course he blames it on the country he's immigrated to (legally, I hope. Or is that where all his commentary stems form?).

That is another issue. And as with all clever pundits, Derbyshire knows that adding a (lesser, in this case) argument of imperfect American immigration policies will blur the main, important one, which is that this human caravan is composed solely of potential law-breakers. And they willingly joined this human flow in order to break these laws of the United States. Gangs or no gangs, poverty or no poverty, since when has such activity been given a free pass in a real house of law?

When will the immigrants cease to be those alien godheads, even for people such as Derbyshire who purport to do everything they can to prevent their traverse across a sanctified, sovereign border?

"You Said it, Faith"

Here is the wonderful Faith Goldy, who vouches to be a Catholic, (but I wonder if she is a converted Jew?), talk about the WHO-World Order:

Beautiful. Goldy and her VDare crowd insist on playing the race card to present their agenda. Close the border!

Well, news flash, the majority of Mexicans would rather close their border, and shut out the pervasive, persistent, Gringo influence. I know, I lived in Mexico for two years.

Who exactly is it that is pushing for the American influence? Who exactly is luring Mexican villagers to abandon their homes in search of menial jobs that "no American would do?" Maybe VDare and their crew should look behind their closets.

So, how about a white communist, such as, well, Bill Gates? This "black" communist, to whom Goldy refers, is the Eritrean Tedros Gebreyesus, about whom I wrote here. He hardly qualifies the "black" that Goldy is fetishizing. But then "race realists" are hardly in tune with the fine tunes.

And this White Communist now runs the world, including those ineffectual countries in the depths of Africa, which the world largely ignores until some "worthy" news occurs.

What Luck Have I to be Able to Turn
To Chopin's Polonaise No. 7 in A flat major

Convenience store owned by Chinese or Indian immgirants in downtown Toronto

I am listening to Chopin's Polonaise No. 7 in A flat major as I work on my computer.

Meanwhile the residents next door to us are either on the phone or have visitors, which occurs more frequently than not now. The male resident has an extremely loud voice and speaks in the abrupt guttural Cantonese. Over time, we learned that he used to own some kind of convenience store in one of the Greater Toronto boroughs - Scarborough I think, one of those convenience stores run by immigrant families from China or India, which sell cheap plastic goods an overpriced milk.

Several months ago, I made an official report on this behaviour, since their noise (louder than acceptable music, loud phone conversations, loud visitors) disturbed me in the early hours of the morning and late at night. There is some kind of official "no noise" period in the apartment's bylaw which I used to file my complaint. The building supervisor informed them of my complaint, but the didn't pay any attention to it. I returned to the administrator, and they changed their behavior to an acceptable reduction in noise, although still not quiet. The supervisor told me, after I wrote a follow up to all this, stating that I was still not pleased with the arrangement, that if I had any further complaints, to call "security" each time I was bothered. "I don't want to criminalize their behaviour," I said. "It is your responsibility that tenants live as harmoniously as possible alongside each other. You are saying that my concerns are not as important as their desires."

I left his office without waiting for a reply, and dropped the matter.

The neighbors have resumed, but with caution. After all, there is an official file against them. For example, the music is loud for some minutes and then it is turned down. The loud conversations again are short-lived, but the longer ones have moved to a different (and farther) part of their apartment. The early morning and late night noise (music, conversation, phone calls) still occur, but less frequently.

It is as though they work on some kind of odd logic that by reducing the amount of time this behavior occurs, the intensity (loudness, etc.) can be overlooked. But a three minute loud phone conversation at 7am in the morning (or at noon, for that matter) is as disturbing and as disorienting as a half hour one. If I am in the middle of writing an article (which I often am at the early hours of the morning) then my train of thought will be disturbed for an extended period of time whether the louder than acceptable noise occurred for three minutes or for twenty.

Multiculturalism has resulted in different kinds of logic that cannot co-exist, and therefore behaviour is not regulated by empathy for the neighbour, or the colleague, or the mall shopper, but by bylaws and regulations. For example the intensely multicultural Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga has now armed security staff (i.e. policemen) patrolling the mall, even during the quiet hours. Conflicts could occur in a flash and fights can become an ugly episode when crowds of disconnected people roam around in close proximity to each other.

But this now the reality with multi-culti Mississauga, where each ethnic group lives in its own enclave, and any kind of generalized empathy does not, can not, occur.

So what I do as an antidote to the abrasive sounds coming from across my apartment is turn on my music, not loud of course (although I used to have it at maximum volume when the type of noise occured, partly to cut off the noise and also as a retaliation) but just loud enough, and barely audible outside of my own room, to drown the noise of these neighbours.

Today, I played Chopin's Polonaise No. 7 in A flat major. And something changed in me.

What luck have I to be able to turn to Chopin or Mozart or Brahms in these moments of distress! What great fortune have I to find consolation in these musicians! How blessed am I that I can find beauty in the great art of the West, the great musicians of the West, not as some accessory or some multicultural repertoire, but as a source of true art, true Western art the likes of which no other peoples have produced. How lucky am I to have deep connection with this music, with this civilization!

The Chinese neighbor cannot do that (or feel that) although he plays classical music at times, but also Top 20 pop music, and Latin music, and the weepy string instrument dominated Chinese music, as though unable to differentiate between the classic and the mundane, as though he is following the formula of some Mississauga radio station that gives him "Canadian" content.

Imagine not being able to appreciate Mozart for Mozart, but rather as yet another choice from the multicultural world, a place that many years ago this man decided to move to from his native land, packing his bags and travelling across continents to this Western world, not to be a be part of it but rather to feed off it.

What a disappointment that must be now, this opportunistic decision to leave his intelligence and wisdom behind and to trade it for this perennial dissatisfaction, this endless realignment and readjustment of his identity and his personhood, this numbing of his thoughts and intellect.

Was it worth it?

My Message is Simple: Go to Where You Belong

The Cloisters, New York

I have always been consistent about my Western civilization part. What all this reflection has shown me is my uniqueness. I don't want to be in the West for opportunistic reasons, but because I am really part of it, because I really love it, I identify with it. I have found no-one else like me and not for lack of trying. And it has made me profoundly empathetic towards those who search for this authenticity. Sometimes I am short towards them, sometimes harsh, and sometimes even hostile. And the level of my anger shows the level of my concern.

Perhaps Larry Auster is the closest example to what I'm trying to do, where even as his Jewishness defined his being, he became a powerful voice for the West and specifically for America, and his message was received all the more because of that.

It is a tough call, what I've dedicated myself to. People will get confused by me, people will reject me, they will call me a hypocrite and a traitor as they bring my race to the forefront and even attack me for it. It has already happened. And I even have an answer, a response, for that: the Amhara race is different from other African or Arab races, and has always looked to the West for guidance. If I am to cite my ancestry, it will be in that manner. And I am the only one to follow it through. My persistence will show my authenticy.

I have developed a tough skin, starting from my childhood. And I have always been independent, which my childhood has also taught me. And I think people will ultimately listen to me. My message is simple: go to where you belong.

Bowing to the Ancestors And Killing Eve

I tuned into the Golden Globes yesterday, not for the awards but for what the awardees would do and say. At one time, I would tune in to watch the fashion, but it is no longer so interesting. What has happened is that all these "equality now" "feminists" are hypocrites. They parade around in ten-thousand-dollar ball gowns by star designers as they mouth out their #MeToo proclamations. I can learn about fashion by going to my local department store and reading my monthly Elle.

I wasn't disappointed.

The most fascinating was Sandra Oh.

Sandra Oh in Killing Eve

She is currently starring in a television production called Killing Eve. Just the name of the series alone is disconcerting. Everyone, even the non-Christians, know that Eve is the name given to Adam's mate in the Genesis account. Eve of course betrays Adam and disobeys God with her complicity with the serpent.

God never killed Eve, but rather he banished her, along wth her foolish conspirator Adam, to life outside of paradise, a life of hardship, nothing like the life they led in His Holy Garden.

What exactly is Killing Eve and what is Oh doing in it?
Killing Eve follows the intertwining lives of two women – Eve (Sandra Oh), a quick-witted but bored MI5 security services operative whose desk job conflicts with her ambitions of being a spy, and Villanelle (Jodie Comer), a polished, highly skilled killer-for-hire, who enjoys the rich benefits that come from her violent career. As the two fiercely intelligent women go head to head, they become equally obsessed and entangled with one another in a combination of brutal mischief making, sharp humour, and high-stakes action. [Source: Bravo.ca]
Since I haven't watched nor plan to watch this latest installment in evil TV programming, I will reference a viewer who wrote:
Not dramatic or thrilling. I thought after Sandra Oh was nominated for an Emmy that this show would be worth watching. Not the case. The plot started out Ok but quickly went downhill. The production was awful. Comedic for no good reason. Horrible soundtrack of hip and rock music for no good reason. Lesbian love scenes for no good reason. Sandra Oh as a sorta-spy in non-Asian countries-totally stupid. The script was just horrible. Every character is over the top for no good reason. The only things good about this show were the location scenes. Otherwise. It's a dud and a total waste of time waiting for it to "get good." And the ending?? Ugh. Just a ploy to make another boring season. I think this show must have been created to find a way to use Sandra Oh. Keep looking! She's a very tired looking spy. Not at all compelling or interesting in this genre. Seems that only France, Israel, the Uk, and the Nordic Noir folks can make dramatic and thrilling spy/crime/political shows that keep you on the edge of your seat. [From: bjnordin-828-626007 commenting on IMBD]
And another:
There is no message, no meaning this a l'art pour l'art thing. Except romanticizing senseless human suffering and bloodshed is in no way an original, exciting or even acceptable form or art. If this were a satire, some black comedy that would be entirely different but the show is just too serious to be perceived as such. Humour here is just part of the makers' plot to try and manipulate the viewers' sense of ethics and decency into seeing monstrosity when mixed with aesthetics as something cool. Well it's not. [From: gabor_nb]
And another:
People wake up screaming at the top of their lungs. Targets of low budget assassinations ask "Why me?" and the star of the show says "I don't know." Shock for the sake of shock.

This show is about vapid, soul-less, sickening characters, and the cynical concept that if there is nothing to show, the audience will try to figure out the mystery. The joke here is that there is nothing behind the curtain. The characters have no human values. Pointless cruelty and death are the focus of this show. Killing Eve is degrading to the human spirit. This is just crass and trash.

The main writer for this show said that they do not do backgrounds for each character. That is lazy writing. This is an incredibly awful series about characters that nobody should care about, and stupid situations that end badly.[From: Johnny_West]
And another:
Men begging for their lives. men brutally murdered. men are stupid and amount to nothing. this series is a feminist wetdream. btw, the assassin isnt psychotic, she is a mary sue [From battever]
And what is a "mary sue?"
Mary Sue is a negative term used in fanfiction and literary criticism to describe an original character that is often overly idealized or assumed to be a projection of the author. When used by a male author, the character is referred to as a Gary Stu or Marty Stu. [From: Know Your Meme]
And another definition of a "mary sue:"
‘Mary Sue’ protagonist are hotly debated. What can be agreed is that it started its life in fan fiction circles, where it was used to suggest that a protagonist was a thinly veiled version of the author, allowing them to insert an idealized self into the story. [From: Standout Books]
That captures Oh perfectly, and especially her performance at the Globes last night.

Firstly Oh is the one "killing Eve," the Western, Christian Biblical female. She usurps God's role to do it for Him, but with a particular reference to her own non-Christian, non-Western background.

All non-Westerners are now openly antagonistic towards Western culture, and whites. They of course are led by the traitorous whites themselves who hate their own people, their own culture, and their own country. The parasites are from within. And non-Western immigrants and the children of these non-Western immigrants born within these Western shores are simply following this lead. If whites were not so intent on destroying themselves, these others wouldn't have the cracks in the system to enter and continue with the havoc (or the agenda).

One powerful and fundamental way to destroy destroy Western Civilization is by destroying Christianity.

"We (non-Christians, non-Westerners) will destroy the myths and stories that built Western society, and lets start with the first female herself.

We like Eve because she disobeyed God. But she didn't go far enough. She is still part of that legend. We have to remove her entirely, by showcasing her violent nature which we can use to our advantage for her to wreck more havoc.

We will kill her off and install our own gods and goddesses, but with her spirit in mind, her betrayal.

We will kill Eve to resurrect her with our own image."

Forget Oh's "#MeToo" moment, and her "look at us now in all these hues and colors" rhetoric while receiving the golden award. She doesn't really care about feminism (that western-produced ideology), nor about multiculturalism, nor really about other cultures other than their usefulness to her agenda. She was married to white man after all, that race she purports to disdain. But marrying white still pays dividends for an immigrant's offspring, and she seems to date only white men. She has bigger agenda, a bigger mission, a bigger world to conquer. She wants to rid of the whites, the true enemy.

Divorced from director Alexander Payne (m.2003, d. 2006)

And finally, she can establish her own Korea-Away-Form-Korea land, where she can bow to her parents and her gods with impunity. And where she can be more Korean than even her own Catholic parents, which is exactly what her parents desired, and subtly instilled in her when they packed their bags and came to Canada: "Our Children will not forget our ancestors, our ways."

Welcome to a glimpse at the Brave New World of America and Canada.

Invocation of the gods

What happened?

[Oh] practices Vipassana, a Buddhist form of meditation that’s interpreted as “seeing deeply.”

— as an extension of the same practice, an attempt to operate from a place
where you’re fully grounded within yourself, of “finding that authentic kernel.

How Immigrants are Destroying Toronto (And Canada)

Minister Rona Ambrose (second from left)
surrounded by employees and volunteers from
Changing Together: Centre for Immigrant
Women Association in Edmonton, Alberta
September 2010

From the first two paragraphs of the article with the photo:
Edmonton− The Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister for Status of Women, announced Government of Canada support for a new project that will help end violence against immigrant and refugee women and girls, and held a roundtable with stakeholders involved in the project.

"This is an important collaborative project between Changing Together and the Edmonton Women's Shelter that can truly make a difference in the lives of immigrant and refugee women, who are victims of domestic violence and human trafficking," said Minister Ambrose.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Thinking Housewife has an article on the Violence Against Women Act. She writes on violence between couples:
[M]ore than 200 studies have shown that women and men are equally guilty of verbal and physical aggression in the home. Domestic violence against women is extremely serious and women are injured and murdered by their spouses or intimates more often than men. But conflict is often initiated by women.
Many years ago, I worked for an immigrant agency. My role was a "counsellor" to assist new immigrants with integrating into Canadian life. After several years, I quit, cold turkey. Everyone was surprised. My "clients" as we called the people we gave service to, gave me good reviews. And I seemed to have had a modicum of success.

I quit because I felt that the kinds of immigrants I was seeing, mostly from Latin America (I speak reasonably good Spanish) and at that time many Somali and Ethiopian refugees, were not assimilating, and I didn't see them assimilating, into the Canadian society. Near the end of my post, I openly said that many of these immigrants/refugees should just return to their countries of origin.

During my years in the immigrant agency (early to late 1990s), new "women's issues" agencies started sprouting up to cull the government funds that were being allocated to women immigrants and refugees. Greedy and clever immigrant agencies discovered that there was money to be made on "violence against women" programs from these funds.

Now, a normal society would look at women as part of a unit of a family, either as a wife, a mother, a daughter, a grandmother, etc. But these agencies focused solely and only on women. And since their whole approach was divisive, they only ended up taking care of divisive issues.

What more divisive than "violence against women?"

I would say that most immigrant/refugee marital problems are related to the difficult financial and social problems these families experienced. And added to that, many of the men were not used to having their wives in such prominent roles, and sometimes more superior roles (from learning the language faster to getting jobs sooner, etc.). I would say that the women also behaved less traditionally subservient and possibly more antagonistically, with their new-found confidence (and attention). If violence ensues from these changes (I cannot say from my experience who initiates the violence most of the time), the women have a myriad of agencies and shelters to run to, while the men are left bewildered, angry and of course targeted as criminals.

I've had at a few men (often the situation is to embarrassing to talk about for men) recount their ordeals to me in detail, starting with a psychological blockage that doesn't allow them to continue a normal life, to missing their children. They were also profoundly ashamed that they were now known as wife batterers. I never went into the "violent" situations, but it was clear to me that the men lost the most.

I would start saying to my colleagues that such "violence" is becoming an epidemic. Many of these families wouldn't be experiencing such turbulent family lives back in their countries of origin, where there were a myriad of cultural and familial checkpoints to make sure this didn't happen.

First there was the family as a whole. In Ethiopian families (I cannot speak for other families, although I would think the situations are similar), older relatives, fathers and grandfathers (and uncles) played tremendously important roles in making sure that families were as harmonious as possible. Complaining wives did have a say. And a wife who was battered was the most protected of them all.

But of course, situations wouldn't reach the "battering" level. Through strict religious, Christian, mandates families were regularly reminded of the importance of roles and hierarchies. Only two generations ago (my grandparents' time), wives would call their husbands by the formal "vous" (I cannot think of a better word in English). A rebellious wife had many advisers (female relatives, sisters, mothers-in-law, and her own mother) to help her through whatever she was reacting against. And she may be right, so either she found a way to convince her husband of her correct, and beneficial, revolt, or other sources were found, from and elder male relative to approach the husband to the local priest, who could act as mediators and advisers. If divorce or separation becomes inevitable, again every social and cultural channel was used to prevent this. Separation was often used (with the wife "travelling" to visit relatives until tempers cooled off) to stall and put-off divorce .

In the end, although such societies look like they are full of coerced, unhappy marriages, they actually have unions which develop mutual trust, and even love.

I always said that those percentages of real violence against women were extremely small. The large numbers that are being touted everywhere I think are one of those liberal, anti-marriage, feminist propaganda, where everything and anything can become "battery" or "violence." The more one can show the inherent evil of men, the more the world can run according to women's agenda, including doing away all that claptrap on hierarchy and the outdated "king of his castle" role of men.

And women are more equal than men, in feminist language. This has torn society apart, made children fatherless (often living with the mother and with another male member who is not their father), made single women and their children poorer, and impoverished men, who often have to supply their income to two families if they remarry (alimony always comes from the man, in this equal world of ours), etc.

And it is especially brutal to immigrants, both men and women. There was a spike in immigrant men suicides in the 1990s (amongst Ethiopians to be exact, since I don't know enough about how other cultures responded to this problem). Many of these women receive welfare or some kind of government assistance, and stay it for long periods. Children grow up expecting government "benefits" which must affect what they aspire for as adults. Etc.

So, my opinion (although it counted for more than that at my counsellor job since it was based on my observations and research) was that we should find ways for these families to stay together. In terms of Ethiopian families, it was to restore some kind of traditional, Christian element, of male hierarchy within the family.

This, I think, is becoming more and more difficult in multicultural Canada, so I still say that Ethiopians should start a "return of the diaspora" movement (I said this once with a group of people, and someone told me that many, from young Ethiopians born in the West, to older retirees, are actually going back in large numbers).

Dependency on the liberal set up hasn't helped. And often, the supporters of radical liberal agendas, like those who speak for "abused" women and who support dramatic solutions like breaking apart families, are often white liberal feminist women, who have found ways to keep their own marriages and families intact (well, I wouldn't want to go in with a magnifying glass, since I will most likely find a liberal, wimpy, feminist male), but are ready to sacrifice others as foot soldiers for their cause.

The less political, and often non-white, women working at the front desks of the immigrant women's support agencies often have stable and what look like happy families (I noticed this, and mentioned it several times at my job), but they promote these ideas of family separation often because it is their job, and they have to accept it to keep their their jobs. But at some point, they too begin to believe the propaganda they are spoon fed (not for them, of course - there's always a hierarchy of recipients in the accusations and realities of battered women). But, they are participating in the destruction of a society simply because they don't, and possibly cannot, say otherwise.

For the sake of liberal rearrangement of society, everyone becomes a pawn, or at least a propaganda soldier. Those at the very bottom of that hierarchy, a hierarchy that is clearly and hypocritically present in the liberal set up, often have the most to lose. And in the case of battered women, it is the women who have somehow been convinced to discard their husbands as abusers, and who have to live a life dependent on another hierarchical superior: a cold and faceless government agency.

Easy come, Easy GO!!

Here's post at The Council of European Canadians (I've embedded the video):
Here are very reasonable and realistic proposals from The Mark Collett Podcast on how we can dismantle multiculturalism and prevent further mass migration into Western nations. As Mr. Collett says, we have said a lot about the problems we are facing; it is high time we start "suggesting solutions that are peaceful, morally acceptable and actually viable". Take a listen:

Here is one comment:
Was it peaceful when this multiculturalism was forced upon Whites with coercion, lies and duplicity?
When democracy means all important decision are kept out of the political process at all costs.

Being taken advantage with mass immigration of non-Whites is called 'peaceful'?? Well reversing it with deportation is equally just and peaceable.

That some will choose to be violent to stop it only belies the inherent violence in the original agenda. Its just coming to light when its actually addressed.

The elites agenda has always been, force non-Whites in as covertly and quickly as possible. Hoping that this makes any reversal or reseparation to the previous freedom impossible. We must reject this. It is possible, and required. Period.

Access to White people is not a human right.

Exodus

I have been a stranger in a strange land.
Exodus, 2. 22

From a post on June 2018

This is an email I sent to a correspondent:
My cousin...was here the other day with her children as well as her brother and his wife.

It is interesting. She stopped her memoir as she entered Canada. I was right about her reticence to write about her Canadian "experience."

[...]

She told me she is [now] writing a "fiction.

[...]

She brought up "identity" as part of her concern in her book...

I told her that "identity" in Canada was always going to be an issue for her (and people like her, although I didn't say that).

"Ethiopia is going through some kind of renaissance. Why don't you and your family figure out a way to return? To go 'back home?' You came here through the most difficult way possible (they crossed deserts and countries before reaching Djibouti and finally coming to Canada as "refugees.")

Don't worry about culture and language. Both, especially for Ethiopians who live the culture daily, are easy to regain. Your children (they don't speak Amharic but understand it) will easily pick it up.

A country is a big thing. Everyone needs one."

She (and her brother) were listening to me intently.

I am glad I attended the dinner. I was curious to see what she would do after her "memoir."

[...]

I also said that in general that people like my father, important people ("big people" in the Amharic literal translation) could set an example and make the exodus back home. My parents have bought two houses from the inheritance house (which they sold at a fantastic price to high-rise developers) in Addis Ababa. They go back now every few months. They have invited me again in November [Note: I wrote this a year ago but it still stands for a November "invitation"] but I have declined the invitation.

They could set an example for all these destitute, culturally bereft Ethiopians by returning (to Ethiopia). A courageous exodus.

Ethiopia is undergoing a "renaissance," I told them at the dinner. "After famines, revolutions, communist governments, ethnic wars, it still stands. Ethiopia, and Ethiopians and specially the Amhara, are resilient. It has withstood incursions and invasions through the centuries. The Amhara are still Amhara. Ethiopia is still Ethiopia. You could be part of this renaissance."

My father was quiet but I could see that he was stunned. He didn't expect me to say these things openly, although he knows my views.

I didn't plan this either. It was as though I HAD to do this. And I'm glad I followed this direction.

My cousins left without rancor or ill-feelings. I have told the truth, and they know it.
Interestingly, the last part I said, "Ethiopia, and Ethiopians and specially the Amhara, is resilient," is almost a direct quote from what her father said to them as they started their journey across the desert, which she discusses in her interview with the CBC. I hadn't listened to this part of the interview until today.

She says about her father (my father's now deceased brother):
He grew up hearing about Ethiopians defeating a common enemy and keeping Ethiopia independent for centuries. Ethiopians were very proud people then and I'm sure they still are. So he has that in him. This desert wasn't going to defeat him. He's done it. His ancestors have done it before. And that kept us very strong, because he was 100 per cent sure we would make it.
I am simply telling her to make that journey in reverse, so much easier now that they have so much more than those clothes on their backs when they crossed that desert.

Then they can be Ethiopians once again.

Democracy Destroys

From Our Borders, Our Selves: America in the Age of Multiculturalism, by Lawrence Auster (forthcoming from VDare Books):
(Via: The Thinking Housewife)
What must be understood and resisted is the Secular‑Democratic Consciousness in all its forms, whether they be called leftist, liberal, conservative, or even Christian. Whatever its particular ideological object, the Secular‑Democratic Consciousness believes not in God but in man and the perfectibility of human values.

In pursuit of that perfection, it reduces the whole of reality with its hierarchy of spiritual and temporal goods to one part of that reality, and treats that one part as the whole, while seeking to eliminate whatever stands in its way. The various secular “gods” resulting from this ideological operation go by many names — global democracy, humanity, unlimited personal freedom, economic equality, racial equality, gender equality, compassion, sexual liberation, economic growth, population control, immigration, race blindness, racial diversity, racial amalgamation. America itself is regarded as possessing godlike qualities, as we see in the idea of America as a “redeemer nation” or “universal nation.”

To the Secular‑Democratic Consciousness, America is not a nation under God, America (or rather the ideology they call “America”) is God. The core of the Secular‑Democratic Consciousness in all its forms is the deformation of the Christian religion into the Religion of Man.

But that is only the beginning of the disaster. With the advent of multiculturalism and anti‑racism, the Religion of Man has been further perverted into the Religion of Other Men and hatred of ourselves. The secularization of the Christian West has thus ultimately led to radical alienation and race suicide.

Therefore, while there may be other, non‑Christian ways of rebuilding a normal sense of peoplehood and racial identity among whites, I believe that the only way it can happen in the context of Western civilization is through the rediscovery of the classical and Christian understanding that we Westerners have lost.

It is this consciousness — the active force in Western civilization from the ancient Greeks through the Middle Ages to the American Founding — which sees reality whole. Seeing reality whole, it places all values, spiritual and secular, in their natural rank and order, accepting and negotiating the unavoidable tensions between them, rather than trying to escape the tension by making human values into gods. At bottom, this consciousness of wholeness can only arise from love of God and truth. It is through communion with God, and through living in a society consecrated to God, that we as individuals and as a society properly order ourselves, not only toward the perfect good of heaven, but toward the partial but indispensable goods of this temporal life, including the goods of family, nation, and race. It is only a godly people, living day by day in love of God, who can truly love existence as such and who are therefore able to preserve their particular existence as a people under God, while also recognizing the respective rights of other peoples.

"...intolerant toward the Québécois de souche"

Diane Blaine: Québécois de Souche (Old Stock Quebecker)
As [Trudeau] leaves the stage, the video shows the woman head directly toward him, demanding to know if he is “intolerant toward the ‘Québécois de souche,’” a racially loaded term about the purity of bloodlines that refers to Quebecers who can trace their ancestry back to the earliest French settlers.
The above excerpt is from a report on Trudeau's latest attempt to spread his "multiculturalism" ideology. Here is the video.

Here is the full interaction:
DIANE BLAIN: When will you give back the $146 million to Quebec? I’d like your response. I’m a senior, and I’d like a response.

JUSTIN TRUDEAU: Madam, thank you for being here this evening, thank you very much for your support. I’m very happy to have you here. You ask what we can deliver for seniors. Madam, we delivered an increase in the guaranteed income supplement of $1,000 per month, by $1,000 per year, for seniors on their own, the most vulnerable.

MALE HECKLER (repeatedly): We are not in Mohawk territory.

BLAIN: That’s not what I asked you. We need the $146 million for Quebecers.

TRUDEAU: We invested billions of dollars for the Canada Child Benefit, which makes an enormous difference in the lives of families around the province and the country.

BLAIN: We’re asking you for the $146 million for Quebecers that you gave to illegal immigrants.

TRUDEAU: Madam, one of the things that is important, madam, in politics is to listen. My friends, it is listening that counts. We are in dialogue.

MALE HECKLER (repeatedly): We are not in Mohawk territory.

Trudeau faces off with hecklers. (Carl Brochu/Facebook)

BLAIN: But you are not answering me.

TRUDEAU: Sir, you are in the course of saying things that are anti-Indigenous, it isn’t very nice, it isn’t very polite.

BLAIN: Answer me.

TRUDEAU: We are here to share, to dialogue, I am looking forward to listening to you.

BLAIN: Answer me, Mr. Trudeau.

TRUDEAU: On the condition that you listen to me now, madam. You have something to say, madam? Go ahead.

BLAIN: Answer me, I want to know when you will give us back the $146 million that we paid for your illegal immigrants.

TRUDEAU: OK, madam.

BLAIN: It’s us who paid for that.

TRUDEAU: This intolerance regarding immigrants does not have a place in Canada. This intolerance of diversity, you do not have a place here.

(Cheering)

BLAIN: Hey. Trudeau. Trudeau.

TRUDEAU: Madam, Canada was built by waves of immigration that were welcomed by the First Nations, who showed us how to build a strong society, and the people who come here, generation after generation to build stronger communities, this is what makes us stronger as a country and, madam, your intolerance does not have a place here.

MAN OFF CAMERA: Yes, she’s making threats. Get her out of here.

MAN IN WHITE SHIRT, BLACK VEST: Are you making threats?

Blain was approached by a man in a black vest, who later identified himself as a police officer, after someone in the crowd said Blain was making threats. (Carl Brochu/Facebook)

TRUDEAU: We are Liberals here, we know that diversity is a source of strength, never a source of weakness and madam, your fear, your fear of others, your intolerance does not have a place among us tonight. Thank you very much, my friends. Thank you for being here, thanks for working hard and uniting people because we see that there will be intolerance in the coming months. There will be attacks in the coming months.

BLAIN: I have another question.

TRUDEAU: But you must know that strength is to unite and not to scream, not to spread fear, not to spread intolerance, madam.

BLAIN (repeatedly): Are you tolerant of Québécois de souche [white French Quebecers]?

MALE HECKLER (repeatedly): We are not in Mohawk territory.

TRUDEAU: Yes madam, I am tolerant of all perspectives, it is you, madam, who is intolerant, and you don’t have a place in this beautiful gathering of Liberals. Thank you, friends.

(Cheering. Trudeau descends from stage and begins shaking hands with people in the crowd.)

BLAIN: Have you spread intolerance towards Québécois de souche?

PERSON IN CROWD: [Swearing] Shut up, damn it.

BLAIN: Go ahead and give your hand to this Trudeau.

WOMAN IN CROWD: No, but it’s enough, really.

(Crosstalk)

WOMAN IN CROWD: She’s going in there.

(Blain approaches Trudeau.)

After his remarks from the stage, Trudeau walked through the crowd, shaking hands. (Carl Brochu/Facebook)

BLAIN: Mr. Trudeau are you tolerant of Québécois de souche?

TRUDEAU (repeated three times): Madam, your racism has no place here.

BLAIN: Answer me. You have no place in Quebec. Do you understand? You have no place in Quebec.

TRUDEAU: Excuse me, madam. I’m a proud Quebecer, madam, I’m a proud Quebecer.

(Shaking hands)

TRUDEAU: Thank you, it’s lovely to see you.

Blain approached Trudeau and challenged him for his attitude toward ‘Québécois de souche.’ (Carl Brochu/Facebook)

(Trudeau continues shaking hands, cameraman leaves crowd and joins Blain who is being questioned.)

CAMERAMAN: Look at what they’re doing with the woman. Look at what they’re doing.

OFFICER WITH BASEBALL CAP: Do you have a piece of ID with you?

BLAIN: No.

OFFICER WITH BASEBALL CAP: Now you’re going to come with me.

BLAIN: No.

OFFICER WITH BASEBALL CAP: Now come with me.

Another police officer tried to remove Blain from the crowd. (Carl Brochu/Facebook)

BLAIN: Let me go, you’re hurting me…. Let me go, look I’ll bruise.

(Crosstalk)

CAMERAMAN: She wasn’t threatening anyone. She just wanted to speak.

BLAIN: I wasn’t threatening anyone. I have the right to express my opinion to Mr. Trudeau. Let me go. Did you understand me? Let me go.

CAMERAMAN: You have no authority to hold this woman, you have no authority.

BLAIN: Hey, you gave me a bruise, look.

(Another man approaches, wearing a badge.)

(Inaudible)

BLAIN: What happened? Well, I just asked Mr. Trudeau some questions, that’s all.

OFFICER WITH BADGE: And then what happened?

Blain had words with the officer, saying she was only asking questions. (Carl Brochu/Facebook)

CAMERAMAN: She has the right to her opinion.

BLAIN: You don’t have to arrest me because I asked questions.

OFFICER WITH BADGE: You’re absolutely right.

OFFICER WITH BASEBALL CAP: Do you have a piece of ID on you?

BLAIN: No, I don’t, leave me alone, that’s twice you’ve asked me.

OFFICER WITH BASEBALL CAP: What is your name?

BLAIN: You won’t know, I don’t want…

OFFICER WITH BASEBALL CAP: I’m a police officer, ma’am.

CAMERAMAN: What is the number of your badge, we want to have it.

OFFICER WITH BASEBALL CAP: 62945. I’m a police officer (inaudible) with the RCMP, ma’am, I’m not finished with you.

BLAIN: Yeah, but I’m finished, because you hurt me. Hey. You hurt me. Look at the bruise you gave me.

Blain said her arm was bruised after the altercation with the officer. (Carl Brochu/Facebook)

(Blain walks away.)

MAN IN CROWD: We’re witnessing the freedom of expression in Quebec.

(Blain is approached by officer again.)

BLAIN: I had the right to ask a question to Mr. Trudeau and he calls me intolerant, it’s him who is intolerant with the Québécois de souche.

OFFICER WITH BADGE (inaudible) You’re excited.

BLAIN: Oh no, I’m hysterical, I’m a woman. A man who says his opinion has balls but a woman who expresses her opinion is hysterical. Leave me alone.

(Blain walks away from officer.)

CAMERAMAN: You only talked, you didn’t make any threats.

BLAIN: No, but, hey Mario. (inaudible) Yes, you didn’t hear me? A crowd of police officers arrested me and look he gave me a bruise.

"Dual Citizens, Dual Loyalties?”

What should Canadians make of dual citizenship?
Draft written in April 2009

After an episode on Television Ontario's The Agenda with Steve Paikin as host: "Dual Citizens, Dual Loyalties?"
On TVO, only a blog entry exists of the episode.

Immigration lawyer Ravi Jain, who is a first generation immigrant of Indian background, was recently on Steve Paikin's The Agenda panel on dual citizenship titled: "Dual Citizens, Dual Loyalties?” He was behaving in a manner typical of immigrants. He has an automatic, knee-jerk, expectation that the whole world (or more precisely, the non-Western world) is entitled to immigrate to U.S. and Canada, and once there, to obtain an uncontested guarantee of citizenship. I don't know why immigrants such as Jain (that is 99.9% of immigrants) never question the logic of their argument. Still, Jain is an immigration lawyer, so part of the answer lies in his professional background. He has to accept and support the concept of immigration to win his clients' cases. And if I were a little more cynical, I would have to say that it is a lucrative business being an immigration lawyer.

But this arrogant sense of entitlement goes deeper than career opportunism. I've thought long and hard about it, and I think that non-Westerners come to Canada or the U.S. (and to European countries as well) with a "they owe us" dig. Of course, this hails back to all the perceived insults and oppressions of the colonial period, and the American influence around the world since then.

The contradiction is that Jain's India is one of the more prosperous countries in the world, and I would say that it is thanks to the institutions the British left behind, and the economic benefits Indians reap from American businesses.

And the fact that many immigrants are opting for dual citizenship shows that their countries are no longer the dismal, economically non-viable back waters which they presumably left never to return to again.

The phenomenon of dual citizenship has been brewing for the past twenty years or so, with about 150 countries (including Canada and the U.S.) now accepting such a status compared to only a handful in the early 1990s.

I would like to say that claiming dual citizenship is a good thing. After all, if more Indians return to India, they will find much to attract them there, including living happy Indian lives with their relatives, their traditions, their cultures and the many beautiful things that are part of their Indianness. And then they will remain in India.

But what the modern non-Western immigrant does is keep all his options open. For Indians, it would be to live and enjoy their Indian life, but keep the other foot firmly planted in Canada, including encouraging (coercing) more, ever-increasing Indian immigration to Canada. And going through impossible hoops to change Canada into their version of a Nordic India (if ever possible).

The objectives of non-Westerners like Jain is not Canadian nation building, but the acquisition of the rights and privileges of living in a prosperous nation and to glean as much as they can from it. Such “Canadians” will never publicly admit this, but their hearts and minds, all the way down to their second and third generation offspring, are back in their ancestral lands. The “We Love Canada” mantra of many non-Western Canadians is easily dismantled when asked what their affiliations to their non-Western lands are, and more succinctly, if they have, or agree with dual citizenship.

This is the tidy(!) quagmire the thoughtless wielders of our immigration policies have come up with. A set-up for people like Jain, whose loyalties, despite his family living in Canada for multiple generations [Update 2018: Probably Jain is a "first generation" immigrant. There is no information on his family background anywhere], will always be as an Indian first (a non-Westerner), and when push comes to shove, a Canadian next. When pressed, "Why Canadian" his reply will eventually reveal that what he wants are the gains, and let’s face it, it is mostly economic gains, he will get from Canada. In the mean time, he will be busy working under the radar to make sure that this prosperous Canada will continue to be a temporary haven (or a displaced haven) for people like him, and for thousands more whose entrance to Canada he will facilitate.

This is the stark reality of non-Western "Canadians." Don’t listen to what they say, look at what they do.

The Many Faces of Vijaya: A Little Bit Canadian, A Whole Lot Indian:
The Inner Struggles of A Multi-Culti™ Life

Vijaya: Modern Dualties

Vijaya Selvaraju is the go-to chef(ess) for the Marilyn Denis Show, a popular day-time show for the female viewers (one would think that females were now part of the masculine work-force and shouldn't be sitting at home watching day-time television, albeit to help them run better homes - which in itself is hypocritical since all those men can now apparently run circles around their wives when it comes to housework - but such is the hypocrisy of our modern era).

Vijay (as she's undoubtedly known in familiar circles) is a chef (although she'd love "chefess" even more). She travels the world, and of course our more constricted Canadian (and Ontorian) landscape, to partake of her recipes and culinary advice. She is also very adept at culling food information from wherever she goes. One could say, in a less generous spotlight, that she is very clever at using recipes she has found in her vagabond ways that she reproduces at her chefess appearances. Copyright pressures her to name her sources, but she is the one on the Marilyn Denis Show! And she wouldn't even link to her "Japanese Cheesecake" inspiration source on any of her "social media' sites.

Her multi-culti ethos forces her to "blend" her recipes. But if she had her way, she would be doing Indian Fusion ALL the time. But that doesn't pay. What Somali fan of Marilyn (or Hispanic, or Polish, or ....) would want an adulterated Indian Fusion recipe? "GIVE US THAT GLOBAL CANADIAN FARE" they would demand, their request coming in ALL CAPS. What they really mean is "Give me MY dish."

Marilyn has her on frequently. And since Vijay is a professional, she will come up with the right answers to Marilyn's untutored foodie questions. But she ALWAYS slips in her favorite spices: her cumin and coriander and cloves and turmeric.

Vijay is modern. She as comfortable in a mini-skirt as she is in a sari. But make not mistake about her loyalties. Her Facebook and Instagram posts are full of her travels to her "homeland," where she pays tribute to her gods and goddesses.

"It's only a matter of time" she would proclaim her fervent belief that Canada become an uncomplicated haven of Hindu celestials. "We can accommodate you, including your Allah and your Jesus. We are the true multiculturals. We are the real Canadians."

"Les Anglais"

The contemporary thinking about foreigners turns them into moral, cultural or social issues, but downplays the most important one: actual logistics.

Foreigners are people who travel to lands which are not their own, with cultures and social structures different from theirs, with languages they don't speak or speak without the fluency of their own languages.

In less progressive eras, when a foreigner came to a country other than his own, he had to understand the country he came to and subjugate himself to these different circumstances, and behave accordingly. He would always remain a foreigner, however many years he has lived there, and however many obstacle tests he has passed (and with distinction even).

There was an intriguing and endearing time in my life in Paris.

When we just arrived, our apartment was in a neighborhood which had its own boulangerie, patisserie, cafe, tabac and all the other accoutrements of French neighborhood life. It was like a mini-village within the large city, as all Parisian residential neighborhoods are (our next neighbourhood was slightly more cosmopolitan being near the Tour Eiffel and the shopkeepers were friendly but too busy to ask for details, although they always greeted us familiarly).

I went to a French bilingual school for the first six months and later we went to the first of two boarding schools in England, in Kent.

We had always been English speakers, having had our elementary education in Addis Ababa at what was then called The English School. I was fluent in English at a very early age.

As is always the case, neighborhood merchants, especially those one frequents regularly and with a Mom & Pop management style, make an effort to know their clientele, and even their names.

This particular French boulanger and his wife would greet us in a familiar way and I'm sure, when we (the kids) no longer came accompanied by their mother, asked: "Ou sont les enfant?"

By then my mother knew some French and no doubt told them as best she could that we were at school in England.

This was an instinctive association by country. If this Arab-looking family sent their children to a pensionat in England, then they must be of the English cultural persuasion and therefore they are English. Most Arabs in France have a French - colonial - association, and they would have kept their children within the French culture.

On a side note, this was the argument - the debate - used to say that North Africans (Moroccans and Algerians mostly) were French because of this colonial past, and that the huge numbers of immigrant North Africans can live in France as Frenchmen. Of course Arabs feel differently: they ARE NOT Frenchmen!!! They would always be Arab.

Back to my Parisian neighbourhood. We became known as "Les Anglais!" The patriotic neighbourhood baker and his wife (his wife mostly because she was the one who ran the storefront and communicated with the customers) associated us with their perennial and historical antagonists, the English, those most foreign of foreigners!

But she loved us! Who wouldn't! This cute threesome, with their coats and hoods in the winter rushing to school early in the morning, or coming in for their favorite "Kim-Cone" ice cream in the summer which they bought with long-saved pennies, now going across the seas to learn things! How brave they are!

"Quand viennent-ils, les enfant?" she would ask my mother those long months when we were away.

But we always remained "Les Anglais."

Two Elevator Encounters

Celebration Square on Canada Day, July 1 2018

1. Walmart Elevator:

A woman and a small, blonde-haired boy rush to enter the elevator as the door was closing. "Sorry!" chirps the woman, for the extra wait as the elevator doors opened again.

"That's O.K." I replied. "It's nice that the store is so empty. People are afraid of the heatwave!"

"Oh we love it," said the woman, looking at the boy. "We just came from the sprinklers at Celebration Square."

The young boy just looked up at me. I get that reaction from young children because of my big orange summer hat.

"I think he likes my orange summer hat!"

"Yes. And he likes orange!"

I held the elevator door open as they went out.

"Thank you," said the mother and I got a faint smile from the boy.

2. Elevator in our apartment building:

Once again, I was the first one in and held the door for a woman and her young son to come in.

The boy was looking at me intently and I was pretty sure it was because of my big orange hat. He also looked grumpy.

"Hot isn't it!" I said to the mother.

"Yes," she replied

The elevator stopped and a couple of people, two black men who looked like they were contract maintenance workers, walked in. They were cheerful and communicative.

The young boy started to speak to his mother in a whiny voice, in Spanish.

One of the men said: "Oh sorry! We shouldn't have stopped the elevator."

"I think he's just hot," I said.

"Yes. We just came from the sprinklers," said the mother.

"Aha," said the man, by which time they had reached their floor. "Bye now," one of them said as they left. "Bye," I replied." The woman didn't say anything.

I was left in the elevator with the young boy and his mother, and it seemed strange to keep silent after our brief introductory conversation.

"He looks tired," I said.

"I think he getting sick," she replied.

I laughed and said: "Kids still want to play even if they're sick."

"Yes."

By this time, I realized that all that was happening was my initiation of a conversation and a brief reply by the woman. She had no desire to communicate with me.

The woman reached her floor and left without saying goodbye. I wasn't surprised.

She was from Latin America, I but couldn't place her Spanish. She wasn't Mexican.

This now prevalent mistrust of peoples towards each other is becoming a way of life in multicultural Mississauga. Neighbors don't say "hello" to each other; elevator conversations are avoided; any attempt at communication is viewed with suspicion.

And there is also the important factor of language. Most people speak a language other than English, and find it difficult to talk conversationally in English. Communication is thus left to the basics, if at all.

But the woman's behaviour is the suspicion that immigrants and non-Whites have toward each other. She probably couldn't figure out where I was from. Perhaps I am Arab (most people think so). In any case, I am not familiar.

Everyone becomes a stranger. And those who appear too friendly are viewed with suspicion.

"Why do they want to talk? What are they trying to find out?" becomes the underlying thought.

Neighbors are no longer neighbors.

$23 Million For Anointed Grievance Groups

Justin Trudeau and Isqra Khalid: Funding the Ideology of White Genocide
by Tim Murray

Council of European Canadians

Isqra Khalid, Liberal MP, with Justin Trudeau

News item: Isqra Khalid announces that 23 million dollars of our money will go to support "diverse communities" to promote "anti-racism" education and fight "systemic" racism and "religious discrimination."

So Isqra Khalid, the Liberal MP who put forward Motion 103, proudly announced the dispensation of $23 million or money to anointed grievance groups. Repeat. $23 million. Chump change, right? Wrong.

Let's put that $23 million in context.

As many of us will recall, when candidate Justin Trudeau promised that a Liberal government under his leadership would spend $13 billion of borrowed money on infrastructure projects, he was reminded of the huge scale of our federal debt, and asked if instead he should not endeavour to balance the budget. He dismissed those concerns with one pat answer. "Budgets balance themselves". Really? What a relief. I guess I shouldn't worry about my negative cash flow or my growing line of credit debt. It will all work out in the end. Interest rates will remain at historic lows and my income steady. Sure my debt levels are worrisome but, as Mr. Micawber in said in Dickens' David Copperfield, "something will turn up." Especially in Canada where, as Justin said in his victory speech, "Anything is possible."

Let's get real.

Trudeau needs to know that it is Canadian taxpayers — ordinary working Canadians and small business entrepreneurs — who service the debt. The debt does not service itself. Even if the government's optimistic projections prove true, these servicing charges will increase 35% by 2022, or $33 billion. This is $9 billion more than taxpayers already pay. Trudeau assures us that the size of the debt doesn't matter. It the size of the debt in relation to the size of the economy that we should focus on. The "debt to GDP ratio". So relax and go back to sleep.

But this contention is premised on continuing economic growth, fairly robust growth at that, considering the circumstances. Trudeau’s flip answer assumes that the economy will grow as he expects it will. Trudeau has not factored in the spectre of rising interest rates (which are creeping up) and the very real possibility of losing American customers thanks to the collapse or unfavourable renegotiation of NAFTA. We have a 2 trillion dollar economy, but American customers are responsible for 20% of our business ($400 billion). Moreover, as interest rates on American government bonds go up, Canada must raise its interest rates to match it, or the bond buyers who pay for our debt won't buy our bonds. It's called market competition, or shopping around. Simple stuff.

One question though. Who buys our bonds? Not the poor. Not the working poor. Not ordinary working Canadians or small businessmen. For the most part, it is the relatively WEALTHY who buy bonds. In fact, big banks and financiers encourage their clients to buy bonds, and are very happy that governments like Trudeau's continue to borrow and issue T-bills as if they are going out of style. Quite ironic, when you think about. A Leftist government grows the debt, which is serviced by working and small business class Canadians so that rich people can reap the dividends from government treasury bills. In effect, the champions of wealth and income redistribution pursue a fiscal policy that amounts to a massive transfer of wealth from the people they claim to represent to the people they vow to heavily tax. Go figure.

Social democrats who claim to be the advocates of the downtrodden should think about that. Runaway deficit financing is a rich man's dream and a working man's long term nightmare. Wanton over-spending now will result in savage cut-backs down the line, with reduced incomes, higher classroom sizes, longer surgical wait lists, high government fees, higher public transportation fares — you name it. One wonders how many socialist governments have to fall before that lesson sinks in. How many Leftist administrations, elected on the promise of more social services and public works projects, have to bite the bullet of austerity after the hangover of irresponsible spending wears off?

It's 2018 Justin, but you still cling to an obsolete 80 year old failed paradigm that usually fails politicians like you choose to ignore the other half of the Keynesian formula. Yes, it might be advisable to borrow and spend your way out of a recession, but in good times, a government needs to CUT back spending to pay off the debt. Somehow, that seldom happens. I wonder why. Could it be anything to do with the fact you need the revenue to pay back friends, reward apparatchiks and expand an already bloated bureaucracy? After all, the burgeoning immigration and multi-cult propaganda industry needs its grants.

The Liberals (NDP and Greens) believe in a government-directed economy. They believe that government is more competent to spend our money than we taxpayers are. So instead of leaving us with enough disposable income to hire the local mechanic to fix our car, or the local gutter cleaner to clean our gutters, or the local electrician to wire our house, for example, a Leftist government takes the money we would otherwise use to pay local businesses to do these things or provide services that we actually value and instead gives it to political and cultural groups who spread their ideology and reward them at the ballot box. (Consider the mutual back scratching arrangement that Liberal governments have had with the CBC). While businesses in a market economy make money by making products or providing services that we want, business (and organizations) in a government-directed economy they get their money by lobbying politicians. And since businesses go where the money is, more and more businesses are hiring and funding lobbyists. Just what our economy needs, right? Jusk ask Bombardier.

Thomas Jefferson once remarked that "To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical". By that measure then, there is nothing more morally repugnant than the Trudeau government. Thanks to extortion, ordinary taxpayers are forced to pay for the propagation of other people's ideologies. In Canada we are forced to pay for CBC Pravda, Indoctrination University, the inquisitors of Canada's kangaroo courts, political parties, partisan environmental groups, ethno-cultural organizations, pro-immigration lobbyists dozens and dozens of "anti-racism" and pro 'diversity' projects, and grievance mongers who feed off the white guilt inculcated by propagandists in the guise of high school and college teachers....for an endless parade of parasites. Together they constitute a vastly expensive stratum of uselessness that weighs down on hard working Canadians who struggle to pay the rent or service their mortgage and simply put food on the table.

"This is My Future and My Canada, and I will Fight White Racists who Oppose Islamization!"

The most galling thing about this caste system is that the beneficiaries fancy themselves as moral paragons, as warriors in a noble cause, the cause of treason. The agents of an ongoing agenda of downgrading the contribution of "old stock" Canadians and their ancestors to this once great nation, and characterizing their legacy as one of racism, oppression and 'privilege'. When you think about it, these hypocrites owe their station in life not to what they know, but who they know in Ottawa or countless other epicentres of cronyism across the land. The city councils and provincial governments who use our money to float the careers and hobbies of people we wouldn't hire to mow our lawn. Their only job skill is their ability to sing the government's tune. You know the lyrics. "Diversity is our strength." Say that a thousand times and you might believe it. That is, if you are blind man with the IQ of a grasshopper.

Our country is in trouble. Never mind the government debt to GDP ratio. The household income to debt ratio is worse. Put together with the federal debt — which all of us are responsible for — our debt represents 300% of our entire economy. The worst in OECD. Worse than Greece! Then along comes Isqra Khalid and her $23 million of political funding. Think about $23 million could have done. Think about how many extra beds it would provide for a seniors care facility? Think about how many visual imaging machines it could provide for your local hospital. Think about how what ordinary taxpayers could do with even a fraction of that $23 million. Think of how far they could make it go. It almost makes you cry.

I am crying all right, but my tears are tears of rage.
