The restaurant, Delmonico's, is an actual New York City establishment. The interior looks interesting, with murals covering most of the walls. I tried to find out who painted them, and what they depicted. It looks like the artist is an anonymous muralist, which is often the tradition in murals of public interiors.
The restaurant has a complicated history. It looks like it changed locations a few times, before returning to its original building, on the corner of Beaver and South William Street, downtown Manhattan.
We don't see murals in building interiors anymore. Hotel and other building lobbies brightened up their interiors with depictions of scenery and social gatherings.
