In a recent twitter interaction, you received an email from "An Ethiopian Muslim" who wrote to you: "Ethiopian Muslim emailed me, wants Christian-Muslim unity against common foe—Zionism. He pointed out video series where Muslim scholar answers questions from the Saker. Scholar is anti-Saudi & hip to Zionist schemes—usury, false flags, etc. Worth a watch."

I understand the danger of Zionism. But it has always been there. Authentic Christian countries like Ethiopia (of the pre-Communist era and surprisingly a newly revitalized contemporary Ethiopia) have always known how to deal wth the Jewish presence. In Ethiopia, there are the famous Falasha who lived agrarian lives around the ancient Christian city of Gondar. Priests and emperors made sure that none would harm them. You must remember the Operation Moses where Israel made a dramatic "rescue" of these "oppressed" Falasha, who now are more oppressed and discriminated against than they had ever been in Ethiopia.

There has never been a "Muslim-Christian" alliance. But Muslims in Ethiopia have always lived with their human dignity protected by Christian leaders, and with a presence in Christian Ethiopian political and cultural society.

I am not sure to what purpose this "Ethiopian Muslim" is sending you his tweet. In our haste to demonize the Zionists, we risk making false allies.

We need to battle Zionism as Christians through our Bible and our God. Not through some international army of anti-Zionists. Where will it end? An army of Hindu/Buddhist/Zoroastrian/Etc. non-believers in our God to fight our own spiritual war?
